Over 1,600 high school students participated this year in the Iowa Mock Trial competition. The students compete against schools from other high schools. Students portray witnesses and attorneys. Lawyers from communities throughout Iowa contribute their time as coaches and judges at the tournament.

A look inside the West Des Moines Parks and Recreation 2012 Men’s Basketball league. The championship tournament was held March 9-11. The Central Iowa Builders took home the league trophy on Sunday, March 11 after defeating the Regulators 70-69 in triple-overtime.

Remodeled bar brings new cliental to University Library Cafe in Des Moines, Iowa. Full Court Press, a local company, took on the project of transforming the place to a neighborhood bar. Manager Tyler Uetz, and bartender Alex Etgeton share their experiences.

The Fraternal Order of the Eagles hosts a bingo tournament every Sunday afternoon at their Des Moines chapter headquarters.  Admission is $20 for a chance to win the $500 jackpot. Bingo is open to the public and starts at 2 p.m. with food and drink available.
